Michele Himstedt is a litigation attorney who represents schools, brands, collectives, agencies, influencers, and athletes in disputes arising from Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL), endorsement, and other talent‑driven agreements and related commercial relationships. Drawing on her background in complex commercial litigation, Michele advises clients across all phases of disputes, from early strategies and negotiations through litigation, when the stakes are high and the legal landscape is evolving.
Michele brings a lifelong connection to sports to her NIL practice. A former Division I soccer team captain at the University of Central Arkansas, she led her team to the program’s first conference championship. She comes from a family deeply rooted in collegiate and elite athletics, including coaching, athlete development, and recruiting, which informs her practical understanding of the business and competitive realities facing athletes, creators, and institutions alike.
Equipped with a J.D. from Baylor University School of Law, where she graduated with honors, Michele applies her courtroom experience and strategic litigation approach to protect her clients’ interests in NIL, endorsement, and influencer‑related disputes, including breach of contract, misappropriation, and related commercial claims. She regularly presents CLE programs on NIL‑related legal developments and emerging litigation risks impacting collegiate athletics and the creator economy.
I’m committed to helping schools, brands, collectives, and agencies navigate the ever-changing NIL landscape with strategic legal advocacy.
